Event Details 3rd Annual National Juried Exhibition Date: 4/16/2008 until 5/10/2008 Time: 11:00 am to 4:00 am Location: Katharine Butler Gallery-Towles Court (View Map) Description: 3RD ANNUAL NATIONAL JURIED EXHIBITION April 16 - May 10, 2008 Artist Reception and Third Friday Towles Court Artwalk Friday April 18, 2008 6-10 pm This exhibition is the result of our 3rd Annual National Juried Competition, juried by Elaine D. Gustafson. The exhibition features outstanding artwork by 64 artists representing a broad spectrum of contemporary work from all over the United States. Artists from 37 states submitted work for this exhibition and work from 24 states will be represented in the final selection. Shreepad Joglekar, a photographer from Victoria, TX, received 1st place and Brian Paulsen, a printmaker and watercolorist from Grand Forks, ND received 2nd place. Elaine D. Gustafson is Director of Exhibitions & Collections and Curator of Contemporary Art at the Tampa Museum of Art. Recently featured in both Self and Vogue Magazines, Sharyn's designs have become the rage at Barney's in New York, as well as several specialty stores throughout the metropolitan area and the east coast. Sharyn makes each piece herself, and because of the limited amount of these one-of-a-kind pieces, and the demand for them, her prices have risen dramatically. Because of her long affiliation with the Katharine Butler Gallery she is making her work available at reduced prices at this one day Trunk Show to show her appreciation for her Sarasota customers.
